Global Partners in Care (GPIC) and Elea Institute are pleased to announce an exciting collaboration to enhance access to hospice and palliative care worldwide. This collaboration will address challenges in global palliative care by fostering innovative, sustainable solutions through knowledge exchange, resource sharing and strategic collaboration. It comes at a critical time as global funding for palliative care continues to decline, while the need for these services grows.

By bringing together key global stakeholders and grassroots partners, GPIC and Elea Institute will engage a broad network to co-create a roadmap for collective global action. Through in-person meetings, stakeholder engagement and the launch of collaborative catalyst projects, this initiative aims to reduce redundancy, optimize resources and amplify the global palliative care community’s voice. A key focus will be capturing lessons and insights from partners in low-resource settings, reinforcing bi-directional knowledge sharing and developing solutions.
Central to this initiative is the commitment to co-creating the next phases of this work with input from partners and stakeholders. With inclusivity in mind, the steps and activities will be developed collaboratively. This approach ensures well-informed strategies that incorporate diverse perspectives and are tailored to address the unique challenges and needs of the global palliative care community.
This collective approach aims to produce unified action and enhance the capabilities of each organization involved. It will also raise awareness of the urgent need for improved palliative care services globally. Strengthening international collaboration will create a more cohesive global movement and reinvigorate stakeholder engagement and shared learning.
The need for palliative care services continues to grow worldwide. We envision a collaborative, cohesive and impactful global palliative care community that drives positive change. This will benefit patients, families and communities.
