Preashnee Sewdayal decided she is going to do an adult nappy drive for Khanya Hospice in South Africa.  She has always heard and seen in the media the kind of work that Khanya Hospice nursing staff are doing in a large area.  “She surprised us,” says Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.  “Preashnee arrived with about 20 packets of adult nappies in September for the first time.  She arrived here again at Khanya Hospice this morning with another 24 packets,” says Neil.

As part of a project for a training course at a religious organization Preashnee contacted family and friends and asked them to pledge a pack of adult diapers per month for the next twelve months.  She was also surprised by the kindness of her family and friends.  “We are truly blessed,” says Neil.  “We use adult nappies and toiletries all the time when we see our patients.  We often get to patients houses and they do not even have the bare essential toiletries. Unfortunately, we cannot turn a blind eye – we try and help as much as we can with the limited resources that we have.  We decant into smaller quantities if need be.  Thank you Preashnee and all her supporters for this wonderful donation.  We are truly blessed.”
