HospiceWits challenged their partner, Empath Health to the Jerusalema Dance Challenge. Staff from both organizations took a break from work to practice and perform together! This simple act of togetherness across the oceans demonstrates the importance of simple solidarity between partners. What a wonderful way for staff to connect with each other at such a great physical distance.
This partnership has been an inspiration for us here at Global Partners in Care since its beginning in 2000. Staff from both hospices have travelled on partner visits several times over the past 20 years. Empath Health has “provided hands-on training and formalized classroom instruction, as well as brought updated clinical materials (medical journals, resource books, etc.), small equipment (stethoscopes, otoscopes, etc.) and lots of over-the-counter medications and personal hygiene items,” according to their website. They’ve even involved their staff and utilize payroll deduction to allow them to donate directly to the partnership. Read more about the partnership
