With a thorough understanding of the South African government and NGO sectors in various African countries, Andre has extensive experience in community development and strengthening. He offers valuable practice in implementing programs and strengthening systems in a variety of settings. He is a results-driven individual with strong governance and leadership experience, and a contributing author to two professional publications. With an advanced understanding of his chosen profession and a versatile skillset developed through valuable industry-related practice, Andre presents an admirable and proven track record, and the ability to exceed set objectives, enhance project delivery, and delight stakeholders.

Andre implemented organizational development strategies in national organizations in Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Tanzania. Andre chaired the Organisational Development Sub-committee for the Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA) and under his leadership minimum standards for organizational leadership, governance and management were developed and implemented. These standards were integrated in the HPCA palliative care standards and received accreditation by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). Andre is a former CEO of longtime GPIC partner, Helderberg Hospice and now sits on their board of directors. He has been involved with the African Pallaitve Care Association (APCA) since its inception in 2004 and currently sits on their board of directors as well.

Andre has extensive experience in policy development, implementation, review and monitoring of policies and procedures. His values are consolidated around accountability, teamwork, integrity, honesty, and respect for others.
