Without health care providers trained in palliative care, those in low-resource settings who suffer from life-limiting conditions will continue to struggle with pain and symptom management. This is why Global Partners in Care, in conjunction with the African Palliative Care Association, provides scholarships to health care and social workers in Sub-Saharan Africa. With your help, we will be able to train more nurses, clinical officers, physiotherapists and social workers, particularly those in areas of great need. Ninety percent of your donation goes to APCA to support the training of health care providers in Africa.

Global Partners in Care works with more than 100 partners and collaborators worldwide to support access to compassionate care in low-resource settings, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. We do this by establishing collaborative partnerships, supporting research and education, and raising awareness of the global need for access to essential hospice and palliative care services. Your gift will allow us to respond to priority areas and challenges.

GPIC’s disaster response fund supports our partners’ vital work in times of crisis. Funds have been used to help partners continue providing their services after natural disasters and COVID-19. This fund has a streamlined request process so funding can be available quickly and allow our partners to respond to the needs of the communities they serve.
