Executive Vice President and COO, Hospice of the Western Reserve
John Mastrojohn III is the Executive Vice President and COO at Hospice of the Western Reserve (HWR) in northeastern Ohio where he has served since September 2019. Prior to joining HWR, John was Chief Operating Officer at National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and had also served as the Executive Director of the Foundation for Hospices in Sub-Saharan Africa (FHSSA) which later became Global Partners in Care. John has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Akron and holds a Master of Science in nursing administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from Kent State University. During the 2004/2005 academic year, he served as a Fulbright Fellow in Hungary focusing on end-of-life care development. John has served as adjunct faculty at Kent State University and the University of Pécs, (Pécs, Hungary). He is passionate about increasing access to hospice and palliative care services globally and is proud to serve as a member of the Global Partners in Care Advisory Board.
